"Becoming multiethnic doesn't just 'happen.' It is manifested within the faithfulness of those bold enough to engage it."
— Greg ArmstrongFounding Pastor · Renew Church · Carol Stream, IL
Greg Armstrong is the founding and lead pastor of Renew Church, a multiethnic church community in Chicago's western suburbs, and the Director of the Renew Collective — a community of songwriters, musicians, and artists.
Over 20+ years of pastoral ministry, Greg has developed the Four Levels of Multiethnic Connection framework — a road-tested approach that helps leaders move from personal formation to organizational change. He is the host of The Gospel and Race Podcast and founder of Imago Leaders, a coaching network for pastors and leaders navigating the gap between church and culture.
Greg's mission is singular and clear: "Equip leaders to move from calling to action — and help build a bridge between the church and the culture."
"After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne."Revelation 7:9 — The Vision That Drives Everything
Each platform Greg leads is an expression of the same mission — serving the whole leader: formation, community, voice, and action.
A three-tier coaching ecosystem for pastors, church planters, and organizational leaders who are ready to move from conviction to action. From community membership to deep 1:1 formation, Imago Coaching meets you where you are and takes you further than you imagined.
Built on Greg's 12-month formation arc — moving through spiritual formation, leadership practice, and prophetic engagement — every tier is structured for transformation, not just information.
Monthly teaching video, Formation Letter, community forum by leader type, and access to the growing resource library. The foundation of the ecosystem.
Monthly 90-min group coaching sessions with live Q&A, individual written reflections with Greg's Loom responses, and a cohort-only community forum.
Two 1:1 coaching calls per month, written check-ins, a custom formation plan, and quarterly reviews. For senior leaders navigating complex transitions.
A prophetic, pastoral voice on faith, race, and the church in America. Greg brings 20 years of multiethnic ministry experience to conversations that most pulpits avoid — with theological grounding, honest courage, and relentless hope.
The Gospel and Race Podcast is available on YouTube and all major platforms. New episodes drop regularly on formation, leadership, racial justice, and the gap between church and culture.
Founded by Greg Armstrong in Chicago's western suburbs, Renew Church is a multiethnic community committed to the Revelation 7:9 vision — every nation, tribe, people, and language, worshipping together before the throne.
Renew is not just a church. It is an experiment in what happens when a community decides the kingdom of God is worth building toward now — across ethnic lines, across cultural divides, and at great personal cost.
