Pastor Greg
Greg Armstrong is the founding and lead pastor of Renew Church, a thriving multiethnic congregation in Westmont, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. With over 20 years of experience in vocational ministry, Greg has served in various pastoral roles including worship pastor, young adult pastor, and church planter. He also serves as the NFL chaplain for the Chicago Bears, providing spiritual care and leadership to athletes and staff.
Greg holds a Master of Theological Studies from Northern Seminary and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Contextual Theology, with a focus on multiethnic ministry, justice, and the future of the church in an increasingly diverse culture. His work bridges the gap between local church leadership and academic engagement, equipping leaders to navigate the complexities of faith, race, and reconciliation.
He is the host of The Gospel and Race Podcast, where he facilitates critical conversations at the intersection of theology, culture, and community transformation.
Greg has been joyfully married to his wife, Kristal, for 20 years. Together they are raising three sons: Evan, Ethan, and Greg III.
