Pastor Greg

Greg Armstrong is the founding and lead pastor of Renew Church, a multiethnic church plant in Westmont, IL, a suburb of Chicago. For the past 20 years Greg has worked in vocational ministry as worship pastor, young adult pastor and church planter. Greg is honored to do life with his wife of 19 years, Kristal, and his 3 sons Evan, Ethan and Greg(III). Currently Greg is a graduate of Northern Seminary with a Masters in Theological studies, and plans to continue fostering conversations of multi-ethnic ministry both in the local church community and academic settings. In addition to his role at Renew Church, Greg is the founder of Renew Collective, a collective of worship leaders, artists and musicians who gather to fuel the local church with a passion for songwriting, unification and reconciliation through the arts and the Host of The Gospel and Race Podcast.

Renew Church is a multiethnic, gospel-centered community who’s mission is to see “All things New, in All People". Founded in 2017 with 7 people in Greg and Kristal’s living room, the Renew family has made it a priority to emphasize community, discipleship, the presence of God and transformation in the city of Chicago.
